How to prepare?
As a photographer, I understand that the thought of a cake smash photo shoot can be a bit overwhelming for some parents. Trust me, I've been there! That's why I want to share what you can expect during one of my cake smash photo shoots to put your mind at ease.
First of all, let's start with the atmosphere. I want this to be a relaxed and enjoyable experience for both you and your little one. So, I encourage you to let them lead the way. I won't push them to do anything they're not comfortable with, and I'll always be there to gently encourage them in a playful way.
During the shoot, your little one will have a blast getting messy with the cake. I'll capture all the giggles, smashes, and surprises that come with a cake smash, and I'll make sure to also get some sweet, clean shots of your little one before they dive into the cake.
Of course, there will be plenty of breaks for diaper changes, outfit changes, and, of course, cake clean-up. I want this to be a fun and stress-free experience for everyone involved, so don't worry about anything other than having a good time.
So, what should you bring to the shoot? Just bring your little one and their favorite toy. I'll provide the cake, balloons, props, and everything else we need for the shoot. Please note that this is a messy photo shoot, so feel free to bring an extra set of clothes you don't mind getting stained, and one towel.
